What To Do If You Find Orphaned Wildlife?

What To Do If You Find Orphaned Wildlife?

Be aware that just because you find a baby animal by itself, that does NOT necessarily mean that it has been orphaned (abandoned by its parents) or that you need to interact with the animal.  By following these steps, you will able to do what is best for the animal and its situation, as well as what is in the best interest for the animal in the long-run.

Step one:   you will need to determine whether or not the animal is in fact in need of your help (either injured or orphaned).  Please read section below titled "How do I know...?" to make this determination.

Step two:   follow instructions in "What should I do ...?" section below.
